The Historic General Dodge House was the home of General Grenville M. Dodge, a Civil War veteran and railroad builder. Dodge was associated with Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant and many influential Americans, making him one of the most famous citizens of Council Bluffs. Tour the 1869 mansion, to see its fourteen rooms complete with parquet floors, cherry and walnut woodwork and the conveniences, considered ahead-of-the-time.
