Crystal Lake Cave

Crystal Lake Cave, located in Dubuque, was discovered in 1868 by lead miners. Sixty years later, Crystal Lake Cave was open for public enjoyment, by one of the original miners. It remains the longest "living" cave in Iowa. Schedule time for a 30 - 45 minute cave tour, to see the incredible cavern formations.

The soda straws, stalagmites, flowstone, anthodities, stalactites, ribbons and columns are quite impressive. Walk through this natural wonderland to really appreciate its beauty. Dubuque Regional Airport

A 1,100-acre, public airpark, the Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) is set in eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River – less than two hours northeast of the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids. Serving and owned by the city of Dubuque, DBQ features two runways and one terminal.

DBQ is served by American Eagle and the Chautauqua Airlines operated American Connection – both offering flights to Chicago’s O'Hare International Airport. DBQ also features pilot training provided to students of the nearby University of Dubuque.

Mississippi River Museum

Operated by the Dubuque County Historical Society, the Mississippi River Museum, is also known as the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. The Museum and Aquarium is fun and educational for all ages. Open daily the facility is available for rent as well as tours and educational experiences above and beyond the exhibits themselves. Mississppi River Museum features a 3D and 4D theater which allows for a complete immersive experience into the world of the river as well as films about fish and mammals found in the aquarium.
